Could it be? Could metal be coming back to claim big show arenas and conquer multiple radio station fromats? Oh, the days of glam rock, big hair, and spandex!
Sorry kids, Festerbilt ain't that. But they play an excellent blend of electronic-metalcore. The band was formed in the smoggy depths of Southern Califoria (1999) as a effort to "bring real rock into the future." The result? Imagine you are at a trailer park family reunion where all the legends are sitting around, drinking beer,& eating spicy pork rinds. Got the image? Ok, sitting under a tarp on a sultry July afternoons would be White Zombie, Festerbilt, and ole grandad The Cult sitting there sharing a keg of golden nascar lovin' American beer.
The band's live show is akin to a more primal version of a White Zombie concert with images of glorified darkness, hedonism and leather. However, stave off the pyrotechnics, these upstanding carriers of the metal torch could be playing in their in underoos and still be privy to great rock and roll-we really mean true, pushing the envelope rock and roll future!
